This is the protection piece for carbon frames that have the upper link attachment point behind the seat tube. If you need to replace it or add one, it's as easy as peeling off the backing, cleaning the area on your frame, and applying it to the best fit you can. It may be easier to remove the upper link to allow for more working room.
